「勢至菩薩（せいしぼさつ）」は、大乗仏教において「智慧の光」を象徴する偉大な菩薩です。その名の通り、足を一歩踏み出すだけで大地が激しく揺れ動くほどの絶大な威力を持ち、その計り知れない智慧の光であらゆる人々の迷いや暗闇を照らし出します。人々を地獄や餓鬼道といった苦難の世界から救い上げ、正しい道へと導く強い道標として古来より篤く信仰されてきました。また、午（うま）年生まれの方の生涯の守護本尊としても広く知られています。

本作品では、勢至菩薩の気高き智慧と力強い救済のエネルギーを宿す聖なる種字（梵字）「サク（Saḥ）」を描いています。半世紀以上にわたり伝統書道の真髄を体得してきた書家・鎌田惺舟（Seisyu Kamata）が、幾何学的な様式美とアシンメトリー（非対称）の現代的な美学を融合。流麗かつ洗練された筆致に、光を捉えて煌めく立体的な黄金の境界線（レリーフ状の縁取り）を施し、手漉き和紙の質感とともに幻想的な現代ファインアートへと昇華させました。

Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva (Seishi Bosatsu) is a magnificent deity embodying the supreme "light of transcendental wisdom" in Mahayana Buddhism. As the name implies, this Bodhisattva possesses such immense spiritual power that the earth trembles with every step taken. With this boundless light of wisdom, Mahasthamaprapta illuminates the darkness of human ignorance and suffering, guiding souls away from hardship toward spiritual liberation. Since antiquity, this deity has been profoundly worshipped as a beacon of clarity and is revered as the lifetime guardian deity for those born in the Year of the Horse.

This artwork manifests the sacred Siddham seed syllable "Saḥ," which channels the sublime wisdom and dynamic salvific energy of Mahasthamaprapta. Master calligrapher Seisyu Kamata, drawing from over half a century of classical dedication, seamlessly weaves traditional stroke integrity with contemporary asymmetrical art aesthetics.
