十二支の第六位に位置する「巳（み・蛇）」は、脱皮を繰り返す姿から「再生」「執念」「永遠の生命力」、そして「豊かな財運」を象徴する干支です。蛇は古来より弁財天（財運や芸術を司る神）の化身・使いとされ、「実（巳）を結ぶ」という語感からも、富や成果を着実に蓄積する大吉のシンボルとして親しまれてきました。また、直感力や深い思慮深さを養う象徴としても重宝されています。
