十二支の第一位に位置する「子（ね・鼠）」は、生命の始まり、豊穣、そして繁栄を象徴する大変縁起の良い干支です。鼠は非常に強い生命力と高い繁殖力を持つことから、古来より「子孫繁栄」や「家運隆盛」の象徴として尊ばれてきました。また、大黒天の使者（神使）としても知られ、財運や富をもたらす吉兆のシンボルとして深く親しまれています。

本作品では、新たな循環の始まりを告げる「子」の文字を描いています。半世紀以上にわたり伝統書道の神髄を探求してきた書家・鎌田惺舟（Seisyu Kamata）が、古典の骨格（章法）を守りつつ、幾何学的な様式美とアシンメトリー（非対称）の現代的な美学を融合。流麗な筆致に、光を捉えて煌めく立体的な黄金の境界線（レリーフ状の縁取り）を施し、手漉き和紙の豊かな質感とともに、気品ある現代ファインアートへと昇華させました。
